After some mucho rest Monday, I completed 5 x 1,000 meter repeats with roughly 3 minutes of rest between each repeat. This session started off with a very easy warm up run, followed by:
First 1,000 meter @ 3 min 26 sec
Second 1,000 meter @ 3 min 28 sec
Third 1,000 meter @ 3 min 27 sec
Fourth 1,000 meter @ 3 min 24 sec
Fifth 1,000 meter @ 3 min 23 sec
In truth, I am feeling a bit guilty for not pushing myself a little harder; I could have run these @ 3:12 -3: 18 per repeat, but feared feeling too tired too soon, and thus not finishing the track workout. I have an easy 40 minute recovery run tomorrow. I should be good as I return to Houston.
