I am finally seeing the light when it comes to recovery runs. I have not taken a day off from running in four weeks. Most runners will tell me that is dumb, and I agree. Thus, I am hoping to rework my weekly miles into a fashion that will place more miles on already heavy days, so that I can take one full day off per week. In replace of “off” days, I have been doing easy recovery runs. However, my recovery runs have been at times too fast. Yesterday evening I focused on slowing down; I cannot recall the last time I did a run slower than 7:48 per mile pace.
