I got a bit off scheduled today as I failed to eat breakfast and lunch. I completed a 4 mile AM run @ 7:45 pace. The only thing I could think about was getting it done; I returned for my afternoon training session but failed to complete it. I had ZERO energy. Thus, in what was supposed to be a 10 mile lactate threshold run in the PM, turned into a 6 mile run; I completed the first 3 miles at 7:39 pace; the last 3 miles was @ a 7:08 pace…12 seconds too slow for a threshold run. I decided to end the run early knowing that I was not accomplishing any type of true quality training.
